Littleborough Arts Festival has just celebrated its 10th anniversary. It doesn't seem 10 years since Walter Kershaw, Kate Borgman, Alan Mellalieu and I got together to begin what is now the premier arts event in Littleboroughs calender.
This year was better than ever with some really good music events and well attended workshops. At the gallery we offered a prize for the best paiting and I was joined by Yvonne Hardman from Touchstones and Richard Cafiero Festival Chairman to judge the paintings.
The prize was awarded to local artist David Ainsworth whose watercolour of Manchester City Centre 'Jack Reflects' was excellent. It can now be seen at the gallery, do call and have a look his use of watercolour is suberb.
